Maintaining your focus on the goal
This workshop is designed to teach your professors and instructors to deal with challenging situations effectively, so that a negative situation becomes positive, and the focus turns to problem solving and solutions.
Lecture and skill modeling by the instructor will provide participants with core knowledge. Exercises will reinforce the skills learned.
Participants are then asked to provide real-life examples from their own day-to day in order to learn how to apply the material and the skills to real situations.
This workshop will provide your professors and instructors with the skills to:
Cool down an angry exchange.
Address disruptive behavior
Refocus a negative conversation to positive results
Acknowledge the other persons feeling without conceding their point.
Avoid common mistakes people make when dealing with a difficult situation.
